FAQ

Do I have to be Korean to join KAPS?

No! Anyone can join KAPS!

Do I have to be a professional?

No! Students, in-between-job’ers and stay-at-home moms/dads are also welcome!

What’s the age range?

While we do not have an age limit, most of us are in our 20’s or early 30’s.

How often do you have events?

We have a monthly Kappy Hour, which is our version of Happy Hour, on every 3rd Thursday of each month. We rotate between San Francisco and South Bay, and it’s free for everyone, so keep an eye out for the next one near you. We also have our seasonal events: Napa Trip in the Spring, BBQ in the Summer, Chuseok Bonfire in the Fall, Holiday Party in the Winter. Plus, Asian Heritage Nights hosted by local sports teams: Golden State Warriors Asian Heritage Night and SF Giants Asian Heritage Night and more! Besides networking, we also have Community Service events almost every month. Due to the nature of these events, however, there is no set schedule, so please stay connected for announcements.

How do I stay connected?

Best start is to click “Registration” in the menu above and sign up for our mailing list. We send out a Newsletter about once a quarter. If you have Facebook, you can friend KAPS Officers to see our announcements through Facebook.

Where do the membership dues go?

While social and networking events are easy to breakeven, by selling tickets, Community Service events often require us to spend money. We use our funds, which are made up of donations and membership dues, to pay for food, space and sometimes even travel for our volunteers.
