Introducing the new KAPS President, Hana Marcus Kim

Dear Friends and Fellow KAPS Members,

As the season transitions from Spring to Summer, there are lots of exciting changes are happening at KAPS. I’d like to introduce to you the new KAPS President, Hana Marcus Kim!

Hana has faithfully served KAPS for the past 2.5 years as the Public Relations Chair. He has done an amazing job orchestrating and creating the KAPS PR program (Newsletters, Facebook, Twitter) and internally organizing the officer team so we can serve the membership better. Hana has a passion for connecting Korean-Americans throughout the Bay Area and an amazing vision for making KAPS a bigger, more important part of the community.

I will still be active in KAPS as a new Board Member and will still see you at many events (You can’t get rid of me that easily!). I want to thank all of you for your support during my term as President and being active in KAPS in the past and for your future participation as well.

I know Hana will be an inspirational leader for our entire membership and can't wait to see the direction he takes KAPS. If you're interested in getting more involved in KAPS, we are always looking for good people to serve as officers.

Please join me in welcoming Hana as our new president! You can contact him at hana@kaps.org or tell him in-person at the June Kappy Hour next Thursday, June 10th at Yoshi's.

Sincerely,
Jean Park
2009 – 2010 KAPS President

Community Service Event: SF Food Bank

Our past community service event with the SF Food Bank was a great success! Box after box, we stuffed and sealed and packaged. Along the way, some of us fell, others spilled oatmeal, and everyone laughed and learned more about one another.

Since then, KAPS has reprised our efforts in helping the SF Food Bank meet its goals. It has already been nine months since KAPS became an official Apple Corps team at the SF Food Bank. An Apple Corps team commits to a year's worth of activities to help fight hunger year-round.

Please join us for another day of service on Saturday, 6/19/2010 from 9AM - 12PM.

To register, please email christine@kaps.org.
