Community Service Event: SF Food Bank

Save the dates!

Our first community service event with the SF Food Bank was a great success! Box after box, we stuffed and sealed and packaged. Along the way, some of us fell, others spilled oatmeal, and everyone laughed and learned more about one another.

The end result was this: 18,000 pounds of cabbage and 1,056 pounds of oatmeal were repackaged and distributed into the hands of those who need it most. It was no small feat.

Since then, KAPS has reprised our efforts in helping the SF Food Bank meet its goals. It has already been half a year since KAPS became an official Apple Corps team at the SF Food Bank. An Apple Corps team commits to a year's worth of activities to help fight hunger year-round.

Please join us for another day of service on Saturday, 2/20/2010 from 9AM - 12PM.

To register, please email christine@kaps.org.

If you can't make our next event on 2/20, email Christine to register for the next events on 5/22/10 and 8/21/10.

KAPS Ski Trip!

Come hit the slopes with KAPS!

KAPS is having another EPIC ski trip that you don’t want to miss out on! We will be staying in a luxurious cabin complete with washer/dryer, high-speed access internet, 3 TVs, and a Nintendo Wii located close to the gorgeous Kirkwood ski resort. The stay is going to be 3-days and 2-nights, on March 19th - 21st. Pricing is now set at $80 for members and $90 for nonmembers (not including lift tickets and gas reimbursement). Based on number of sign-ups we may be able to get a group discount on lift tickets, so bring along some friends (even if they want to be lame and miss out on the awesome cabin, at least they can still be semi-cool and hang with us on the slopes)

Attention drivers! You get a sweet deal, if you plan on driving others up. But since we only need 4-6 drivers make sure you let us know asap if you want in on the driver discount. This is going to be legen…wait for it…DARY, so come join us in all the fun-filled glory only KAPS and Tahoe can bring to you!

When: March 19-21
Where: South Lake Tahoe, Kirkwood Ski Resort
Cost: $80 for members, $90 for non-members
Why: Because it'll be legendary
