SUPPORT THE SF KOREAN CENTER

Students of San Francisco State University Professor Dr. Grace Yoo, a friend of KAPS, are conducting key informant interviews with Korean Americans residing in the San Francisco Bay Area regardng their needs, recommendations and ideas about the San Francisco Korean Center. Currently, the San Francisco Korean Center is considering revamping their services and programs to better serve the needs of Korean Americans in the San Francisco Bay Area. http://www.koreannet.org

They are hoping to conduct 40-50 interviews with Korean Americans residing in San Francisco and those in the surrounding area by October 12th via SKYPE, by phone or in person. The interview would take about 30-40 minutes. They are tape-recording these interviews and transcribing them; however, no names or identifying information will be identified in the report to the Korean Center and your name will be kept confidential.

Please help us by serving as one of the interview subjects or if you know any Korean American ministers, parents, shopkeepers, etc. living in San Francisco. If you or someone you know is interested, please e-mail Professor Yoo at gracey@sfsu.edu or call 415-338-3891.

All participants are invited to join Professor Yoo and the Korean Center for a pizza party at the conclusion of the study as a show of appreciation for their time. They will also be sharing their findings of the study for anyone who is interested. Please help us make sure we have a strong KAPS contingent at the party as we support this great effort!
