Perry has led product development and Technology management Practice at Gemini Consulting and also managed a R&D Group at Amicon. He was granted two design patents during his tenure at Amicon. He has invested and served on boards of many companies and also served as an interim CEO in two different companies. Perry currently serves on the board of several companies in Korea and the US including on the board of Korean American Society of Entrepreneurs (KASE) and on the Leadership Board of MIT’s McGovern Institute for Brain Research. Based on his extensive experience with Korean and U.S. venture companies, Perry will discuss how technology provides a great platform for building new businesses: semiconductors, nanotechnology, biotech and CleanTech are only a few examples of such technologies. Technology also transcends national borders, as one can find successful entrepreneurs in every continent. Silicon Valley has led the way of engendering new industries leveraging its technologies; however, other countries are catching up and, in some cases, surpassing Silicon Valley. New growth opportunities are ubiquitous; they just need to be nurtured the right way…..
