MATCHA: KAMPAI! SAKE + TEA - EVENT RECAP
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Asian Art Museum's Matcha event last week and supporting the arts! We hope you had fun tasting different types of sake and tea while browsing the galleries. It was great to see some old faces and many new ones.

JOB POSTING: PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER - KOREA
Job Description

This successful organization develops innovative, security aware applications that the defense and intelligence communities rely on to protect our men and women in uniform every day. For more than a decade, this employer has been building advanced intelligence applications using groundbreaking technologies.
Our client has an immediate opening for a PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join the team at one of their international offices. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be highly motivated, energetic and extremely flexible. The candidate for this position must have an active Top Secret/SCI level clearance in order to be considered for this role. This is a high profile position within the company, and requires someone with the ability to work well unsupervised, yet collaborate effectively with the rest of the team. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are an absolute must for this role.
Headquartered in the United States, our client currently has offices in Maryland, Florida and Hawaii and this rewarding opportunity is located at one of their international offices, in South Korea. So, you must be willing and able to live and work in the Republic of South Korea for this key role within the organization.
To qualify for this PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER position, you will need to be equipped with the following:
- Advanced understanding of object oriented software development principles
- Willingness to work in an Agile development environment, and apply test driven development principles
- Ability to problem solve creatively, yet expediently
- Keen understanding of modern web application development techniques (Web 2.0, etc...)
- Proven leadership ability, and flexibility to collaborate with a team and work independently
- Extensive experience with Java and Javascript
- Experience with any of the following would be a plus and is highly desired: Groovy on Grails, JQuery, JSon, Spring, Hibernate, Flex, Scrum
- Management experience is required
- Minimum Education - Bachelor’s Degree
- The candidate for this position will possess at least 10 years of experience with software development and/or engineering. 10+ to 15 years of experience is considered ideal.
- An active TS/SCI clearance is required for this opportunity. Due to the requirement for holding a security clearance, employment with this employer does require U.S. citizenship.
- Willingness to travel occasionally
