03 / 6 2008 KAPS KICKOFF MEETING/PERSONAL FINANCE 101 Start: 7:00 pm End: 10:00 pm Get ready for another fabulous year with KAPS as we officially kick off KAPS 2008! We have an exciting year planned and will be sharing the calendar of events for the year! The main event will be a workshop on Personal Finance 101 presented by John Kim, a financial planner and one of the co-founders of KAPS. John will be sharing the secrets of how money works, ways to save for retirement and still have fun now, basic tips on investing, and more. Don't miss out! 03 / 15 HABITAT FOR HUMANITY COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENT Start: 8:30 am End: 4:00 pm Location: De Long Street and Santa Cruz Ave, Outer Mission, San Francisco Come help a family in need with Habitat for Humanity San Francisco (HHSF), a nonprofit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world. We will each be playing an integral role in building a home in San Francisco under the supervision of an HHSF construction manager. Even if you have never picked up a hammer before, you will be trained on the tools being used and any skills you may not know. Volunteers can participate in activities as varied as pouring foundation, raising walls, painting, tiling, and electrical work. After the event, join us for more festivities and food.
